Top Five Wednesday: Most Anticipated Releases

Most Anticipated Releases

Top 5 Wednesday is a group challenge created by Lainey and run by Sam that includes a new book-related topic every week. Check out the goodreads group for topics and to interact with the community.

This month, Top Five Wednesday is doing rewind topics, so you can choose any topic from previous months/years. To be honest, I'm actually just assuming that "most anticipated releases" has been a topic in the past, because I wanted to talk about some books that are coming out and here's a good reason to do so. So without further ado, some books coming out in 2018 that I really want to read.

"I believe in no God, no invisible man in the sky. But there is something more powerful than each of us, a combination of our efforts, a Great Chain of industry that unites us. But it is only when we struggle in our own interest that the chain pulls society in the right direction. The chain is too powerful and too mysterious for any government to guide. Any man who tells you different either has his hand in your pocket, or a pistol to your neck."

2018 Reading Challenge

“Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world.”
― Voltaire

These are just a few challenges I set for myself throughout the year in the hopes of diversifying my reading. I think that sometimes we get comfortable picking up titles that don't challenge us because it's easier and because it makes us feel good about how many books we've read by the end of the year, etc, etc, but I wanted to be more mindful about what I'm picking up. There are also a couple of just-for-fun challenges, so that this doesn't feel like a big chore. Some ideas were taken from the PopSugar challenge, some from the BookRiot challenge, and some were just personal goals for me.

If you'd like to join me, feel absolutely free. I will (hopefully) be updating this list throughout the year with the review associated with the challenge here if you want to follow along.
